Anesthesia & Surgery Center

The Anesthesia & Surgery Center at Roicare Hospital & Clinics provides comprehensive services encompassing clinical anesthesia, pain management, and critical care. The center is equipped with a central operating theater, outpatient surgical suite, intensive care unit (ICU), and dedicated anesthesia and pain management clinics.

Led by Vice President Dr. Michael Han, a distinguished expert in anesthesiology, the center is staffed by a team of highly trained anesthesiologists. Each team member undergoes standardized training and strict competency assessments to ensure the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and patient-centered care.

Services Include:

• Obstetric & Gynecologic Anesthesia

  Providing safe, high-quality anesthesia services for all types of OB-GYN surgeries. The team is proficient in a wide range of anesthesia techniques, with extensive clinical experience in managing anesthesia for obese or critically ill obstetric patients.

• Labor Analgesia

  Offering 24/7 labor pain relief services, grounded in internationally advanced practices. Anesthesiologists work closely with OBs and midwives to tailor pain relief plans for each mother, ensuring a safe and comfortable delivery.

• Postoperative Pain Management

  Utilizing advanced multimodal analgesia strategies, combining the strengths of multiple medications to minimize side effects and enhance patient comfort, accelerating recovery. Roicare’s multimodal pain relief plan after cesarean section has been shared and praised at national platforms such as the "Miller Voice Anesthesia Academy" and the Liaoning Provincial Anesthesiology Society.

• Anesthesia Outpatient Services

  Staffed by experienced anesthesiologists and pain specialists, the clinic offers professional consultations to ease patients’ concerns about anesthesia and pain relief, and also supports patients suffering from chronic gynecological pain.

In 2023, the Roicare Anesthesiology Department was honored with the “China Brand Medical Team of the Year” award at the Shanghai Medical Exchange Conference for its excellence in OB-GYN anesthesia, comprehensive labor analgesia, effective postoperative pain control, engaging anesthesia education, and a collaborative team spirit.
